The Throuba olive or thrubi is a variety of the microcarp, unique for its own capacity to decapitate the tree as it matures and is takes a bronze green color. It is grown in Attica, Boiotia, Aegean Islands and Crete. The shape of the fruit is cylindrical with a slight stant. A vriation of throuba is cultivated in Thassos. Kalamata throuba olive is also an excellent variation, due to the grain of the fruit.
